In Session One, Jillian sets the table for Summer Study by laying out the context of 2 Timothy. She walks through the five context questions helpful to ask before we read and traces the undercurrent of grace throughout the background of the book.

 

Jillian kicks off Week 1 of Summer Study by encouraging us to move past two common barriers to studying the Bible together: comparison and confusion. She also addresses a new approach to weekly discussion/response questions found in your 2 Timothy Companion Guide.

Each summer, we aim to memorize at least one passage from the book we are studying— our key verse. One way we memorize Scripture is through song. In this video, our friend Kelly Gwin sings this year’s key verse, 2 Timothy 2:1-2.
