Join Our Team 2.jpg

DAYTON WOMEN IN THE WORD IS RUN BY A TEAM OF DEDICATED women WHO LONG TO SEE LIVES CHANGED BY THE POWER OF GOD'S WORD.

We are looking for people who love God's Word and are passionate about sharing it to join our team. Some of our positions are paid and some are volunteer.

All potential team members must read and affirm our DWITW Statement of Faith. Please read and affirm this before applying for any position on our team.

Each position listed below is a one-year commitment, unless otherwise specified.

Please don't be discouraged from applying if you don't think you have "enough experience." Skills can be taught! Above everything else, we look for people who have passion for God and His Word, eagerness to be part of His mission and willingness to learn and grow with us.

AVAILable positions

Board Treasurer - VOLUnteer

The board treasurer must present the monthly and annual finances (provided by the operations lead) at our monthly board meetings, as well as lead all budget discussions at the board meetings. The board treasurer works closely with the operations lead on finance considerations and budget. All board members serve a commitment of two years. They must attend our monthly board meetings, where they discuss ministry vision and oversight as a whole.

Communications Team members - volunteer

Our communications team members design and write new posts for our social media on a project-by-project basis. Each volunteer helps one pillar of our ministry communicate their needs, writes copy for needed posts and creates a design on Canva to accompany those posts. Different areas of need include our pillars, Open Bible Night, St. V’s Bible Study and Intensive, as well as our overall ministry communications such as team posts, fundraising and highlighting our DWITW resources. Each volunteer is led by the communications lead, who manages the communications team, editing and scheduling. No prior experience with design or Canva is necessary, although it is helpful!

Pillar HELPERS - Volunteer

We have needs for all three of our pillars of ministry: Open Bible Night, Intensive and our St. Vincent de Paul Homeless Shelter Bible Study.

— Open Bible Night: Open Bible Night volunteers are needed at our monthly workshops to assist with registration / check-in, setup / teardown, audio / visual needs and welcoming participants.

— Intensive: We need a large number of Intensive volunteers once a year to assist with registration / check-in, setup / teardown, audio / visual needs, welcoming participants and serving lunch. We also need Intensive volunteers who are willing to serve in the planning of this event by seeking sponsorships, arranging for lunch and coffee, writing social media posts and reaching out to other Intensive volunteers.

— St. V’s: We need volunteers for our St. V’s Bible Study for a few different tasks. Our onsite volunteers set up and tear down for the study, invite and welcome participants and keep inventory of supplies for each study. Our offsite volunteers for St. V’s supply snacks and Bible study supplies.

Staff Volunteers and Interns - volunteer

If you are gifted in operations, fundraising, communications, design, photography (you name it — we will use it!), but you cannot commit to a staff role, we invite you to volunteer around our office for any amount of time. We welcome whatever time you have available and we’re happy to give you the next one-off project we are working on!

In addition, we always welcome college students who are seeking internships and who love the Word of God.

Grant Writers - volunteer

We continually fundraise so that we can continue to do this Kingdom work! If you love writing and you are organized and detail-oriented, then this is the role for you. Grant writers will report to and work with our fundraising lead. They can utilize our office and childcare to work on grant applications.

Daytime Childcare WorkerS - paid

The people in this role are responsible for caring for children during DWITW meetings and other events, as needed. Must have daytime availability and reliable transportation. First aid and CPR certification preferred. Caring for children is a major part of our ministry, so this is the perfect place to start if you want to get to know our team and get involved with DWITW!
