Breaking Barriers | Rob Turner {S8 E3}
The DWITW Board reviewed this podcast in 2023 amongst growing concern voiced amongst the Body of Christ that the enneagram is not a tool that Christ followers should utilize. The Board believes this podcast reflects a voice that upholds the gospel as paramount. We do recognize and acknowledge the concern regarding the original roots of the enneagram. We recommend you explore with discernment from the Word of God and the Holy Spirit always as the authority over your decisions.
On this season of the podcast, we are talking all about the barriers we encounter to growing in, and through, the Word of God. Barriers we can encounter include our personalities and the wounds in our own hearts, rooted in our pasts. We asked our friend Rob Turner to share with us about his experience using the enneagram as a tool to work through these barriers in his own life, in light of the gospel truth found in Scripture. Today, he shares with us his personal experience as a child of God, pastor, and certified enneagram coach. Rob emphasizes throughout the episode the enneagram is not the gospel, but rather a common grace God has given to help us in our journeys.
Rob Turner is a self-described "Hoosier for Life!" He is a husband of over 20 years to beautiful Angela and is a father to four children. He served many years as a pastor in Dayton, Ohio, and now serves as Director of Discipleship and Training at the Bridge Church in Spring Hill, TN. Two of his heroes are William Cowper and John Newton, not because of their own awesomeness, but because of the awesome testimonies of God's grace in their lives.
