This short video will explain a bit about who we are.

At Dayton women in the word, our goal is to help women to know, believe, and share the word of god.

We are a group of women from the Dayton area who love God’s Word and have experienced its life-changing power. Our great joy is to help other women experience that same power by giving them simple tools to make their Bible reading come alive. God tells us in Deuteronomy that his Word is not empty, it’s our very life, and we believe that whole-heartedly (Deut. 32:47).

Here are some of the ways that we help women read their bibles:

• Group Studies and Reading Plans

  • We have several studies available for groups to study the Bible together. These studies include a study plan, companion guide, discussion questions, and teaching videos. We also have several reading plans including our genre plans, Dwell Richly Deuteronomy plan, and our read through the Bible in a year called DWITW 365.

• Open Bible Night

  • Once a month, we encourage and equip women in the Word at our in-person workshops. These workshops teach women how to study the Bible, how to disciple, and how to teach the Bible.

• Bible Study Tools Intensive

  • Once a year, we gather for an all day event centered on one particular Scripture. This event is a conference style, with a beginning and ending keynote talks and workshops in between. The workshops focus on teaching Bible study tools and practicing those tools with the Scripture of focus for that day.

• St. Vincent de Paul Bible Study

  • We host a weekly Bible Study each week at St. Vincent de Paul homeless shelter for women through the gospels. Our St. V’s team hosts four 8 week rounds of study a year for guests at the shelter, as well as special holiday sessions in November and December.

• Bible Study Resources

  • We’ve got some practical helps on the website like our At Home in the Word video series, Bible Study Tools page (including some helpful PDFs), and our DiscipleHER Conference recordings (a conference we held in 2017 all about discipleship!). We also have all the resources and lectures posted from our past summer studies.

• Other Resources

  • DWITW has many encouraging podcasts and blog posts focused on the truths of Scripture. Check them out here.
