2 Timothy || Session 1: Context
This week kicks off our 6th Annual Dayton Women in the Word Summer Study! This summer, we will be working through the book of 2 Timothy. Over the next eight weeks, we'll be sharing recordings from our teaching sessions here on the podcast.
In Session One, Jillian sets the table for Summer Study by laying out the context of 2 Timothy. She walks through the five context questions helpful to ask before we read and traces the undercurrent of grace throughout the background of the book. To find many of the resources mentioned throughout the lecture, be sure to check out the 2 Timothy Companion Guide and the 2 Timothy Week 1 Resource Page.
If you prefer to watch the video for Session One, you can view it here.
Jillian wants to live in a world where the front yard knows how to landscape itself, where handwritten letters aren’t such a rare occurrence, and where everyone takes a one hour reading break midday. She’s celebrating her ten year anniversary with her brilliant husband, Tim, this August. Jillian is a boy mom to 3 boys, and will send her oldest to kindergarten this fall! Her favorite verse (lately) is Lamentations 3:21-26.
